We are pleased to announce that Saskia Lawson-Tovey has been selected for the ELIXIR-UK FAIR data stewardship training Fellowship 2021. Saskia is a Data Scientist in the Centre for Musculoskeletal Research at The University of Manchester.

Saskia contacted Research IT in response to a communication sent out by the Research Lifecycle Programme’s (RLP) Survey Tools project (Project Y). The communication was sent to current users of REDCap (a secure web platform for building and managing online databases and surveys) for feedback on the current service provision, as part as part of the project’s activities for service improvement.

After communications with the project, Saskia (who is a REDCap super user) identified the need for specific detailed data management resources for REDCap, aimed at more advanced users.

Research IT will be supporting this work by:

• Reviewing the intended outputs of the Fellowship as required
• Providing a platform to promote/share the intended outputs of the fellowship
• Providing any REDCap technical assistance required
